Artwork commissions during lockdown

CLIENT ART COMMISSIONS COMPLETED SAFELY DESPITE COVID 19 LOCKDOWN

I have been really grateful to those clients who, despite the worry and anxiety during lockdown committed to commission me to make bespoke artworks for their homes. I think one of the positives to come out of this unique situation has been the support I have received as an independent artist, with lots of local enquiries and orders. Many of us decided to reshape and update our home interiors , refreshing tired rooms, based on the idea that we would be spending much more time at home this year and next. This valuable gift of time for homeowners has meant they were able to repaint, redecorate and shop around for special things to make them feel positive. Despite having lost access to my studio space for a few months, I quickly adapted to the circumstances, building a makeshift studio in the garden and seeking refuge in the garden shed when it rained. Client calls and briefings were conducted via video calls, live studio updates, and a stream of high resolution detail images emailed regularly in order to achieve a high calibre result. My clients’ faith and investment spurred me on during this challenging time, which made me paint to an even higher technical level, and I believe can be seen in the finished artworks.

For anyone considering a commission, I am very happy to discuss creating a bespoke artwork for you, if this is something you are considering then please get in touch with me at emma.tweedie@gmail.com.

This process can involve as little or as much interaction as you would like. I am happy to discuss requirements and work with you to achieve a completely unique and personal piece of art.  Although timescales vary, once I start to paint, I usually allow 4-6 weeks to complete a painting depending on the size and complexity.
